The Kensington Riots were arguably the most significant event of civil unrest in the city's history and certainly one the largest anti-Irish/anti-Catholic events in our Country. The riots resulted in dozens of deaths, the destruction of the Irish Catholic neighborhood - over four city blocks were burned to the ground,
including homes, St. Michaels Church, and many businesses.

The MacSwiney Club will host AOH87 Member Kevin Brett, who
will discuss the process to secure the Historical Marker at the site
and Club member Bill News will discuss the riots and the
aftermath, as well as his personal connection to the event.

Tickets: $25 includes copy of the book and the lecture (lecture only
is $10).
